Christine Longo is a longtime resident of Illinois and new transplant to NWI where she and her family are building a home. She is a mother to Emily, Louis and Olivia. Olivia, who has Down syndrome, is a new student at Lake Central High School where she is busy making an impact on everyone she meets.
As a seasoned writer, Christine volunteered as the Director of Grant Development for the Down Syndrome Association of Northwest Indiana over the last two years and has most recently accepted a new role with the DSA as the Executive Director. She is also the co-founder of It’s a Service Thing, a nonprofit organization made of up of 80 local women who volunteer and donate to organizations throughout the Chicago Southland and Northwest Indiana.
